What we collect

When you order from us or get in touch, we collect:

your name
your delivery and billing address
your email address
your phone number
your order details, such as what you bought, when, and how much you paid.

We also collect information about how you use our website, such as pages viewed and the device and browser you use. We collect this through cookies and similar tools (see below).

You can browse our website without telling us who you are. To place an order, we need your name and address so we can deliver it.

Payments

Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card details.

Why we collect it

to process, ship and track your order
to handle returns, refunds and questions
to keep our records and meet our legal obligations
to improve our website and products
to send you marketing emails, if you've agreed to receive them
to show you relevant ads on other websites and apps.

Who we share it with

We only share your information when we need to. This includes:

Shopify, which runs our online store, and its payment partners
our suppliers, who pack and dispatch your order
delivery carriers, who get your parcel to you
advertising and analytics providers, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Pinterest and Google
government authorities, if the law requires it.

We don't sell your personal information.

Cookies and pixels

Our website uses cookies and tracking pixels. These help the site work, show us how people use it, and let us measure and show ads. We may use tools from Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and Google for analytics and marketing.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, like the cart, may not work properly without them. You can also manage ad preferences in your Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and Google account settings.

Information sent overseas

Some of your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. Our suppliers are mostly in China. Shopify and our advertising and analytics providers may process data in other countries, including the United States, Canada and Ireland. We only share what each provider needs to do its job.

Marketing emails

We'll only send you marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed. We'll still send you emails about your orders.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the reasons above, or as long as the law requires. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email support@southerlygoods.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Making a complaint

If you're worried about how we've handled your personal information, please email us at support@southerlygoods.com.au and tell us what happened. We'll look into it and reply within 30 days.

If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Visit oaic.gov.au or call 1300 363 992.
