These terms apply when you use southerlygoods.com.au or buy from us. We've kept them short and plain. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Southerly Goods is a registered business name operated by Ross Bennett, a sole trader.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.
Products
We try to describe and show every product accurately. Colours can look a little different on different screens. Sizes and measurements are approximate unless we say otherwise.

Prices and payment
- All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
- We're not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.
- Shipping within Australia is free.
- Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment partners.
The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place your order.
Orders
When you place an order, we'll email you a confirmation. Sometimes we may need to cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock or there's an obvious pricing error. If that happens, we'll let you know and refund you in full.
We only deliver within Australia.
Shipping
Our products ship from overseas supplier warehouses with tracking. Delivery times, lost parcels and customs are covered in our Shipping Policy.
Returns and refunds
Faulty, damaged, wrong and lost orders, and how refunds work, are covered in our Refund Policy. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Using our website
Please use our website lawfully. Don't try to disrupt it, copy it, or access parts you're not meant to.
The text, images and design on this website belong to us or the people who licensed them to us. Please don't copy or reuse them without permission.
If you post a review or comment, please keep it honest and respectful. We may remove content that's offensive, misleading or unlawful.
Our responsibility
We're responsible for meeting the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those guarantees and any other rights you have by law, we're not responsible for loss that wasn't reasonably foreseeable, or that was caused by something outside our reasonable control.
Privacy
We handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we can bring any dispute before the courts of New South Wales or any other Australian court that has jurisdiction.
